Ocala Team wins "Make Spirit Your Goal" contest!

The Dolphins from AYSO Region 1242 in Ocala, Florida were announced as winners of the "Make Spirit Your Goal" contest. The prize for the contest included a trip to Hollywood for the players and coaches of the Dolphins, plus one parent/guardian or guest. The Dolphins took flight from Ocala in early June to spend the weekend in Hollywood. Among their stops was a trip to the DreamWorks animation studio where movies like "Shrek" and "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" were created as well as a trip to Universal Studios for the day.

The program began last fall when AYSO and DreamWorks teamed up for "Make Spirit Your Goal." The season-long program was developed in conjunction with the animated film, "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" and was designed to tie in to AYSO's guiding principles: teamwork, fairness, and positive reinforcement. Each team was asked to create a work of art that best demonstrates how they have made spirit their goal this season. The Dolphins' poster was selected by DreamWorks from 40 entries nationwide. CONGRATS DOLPHINS!
